Summary:
1. Proper positioning of the platform helps employees understand WHY you are implementing Beekeeper
2. The positioning of the platform can/should be different depending on the target group
3. The positioning that has been worked out is to be used when announcing the app and during the rollout.
Positioning
To best position Beekeeper in your organization, it is important that you also know how Beekeeper positions itself:
Our Just Cause: “We connect frontline teams with everything they need to do great work, so that workers live better lives and businesses thrive.”
Our Core Value Proposition: “Our Frontline Success System gives frontline teams everything they need in one place.”
We recommend that you include the following questions in your positioning:
- What is Beekeeper for you, and why is the project a good thing?
- Why did you invest in this platform?
- What do you hope to achieve with Beekeeper in your organization?
- How does it benefit the individual employee (User's perspective: What’s in it for me)?
-
What is the WHY for:
- Executive Leadership?
- Corporate Team Members?
- Managers & Supervisors?
- Frontline Team Members?
- What is the easiest way to explain to employees how to install the app and how the individual features work?
- How should/shouldn’t your employees use the app? See also: Fairplay Rules
The answers to all of these questions will give you guidance on how to position and communicate Beekeeper to your employees.
We recommend the following steps to help you develop your positioning:
- Brainstorm with the core project team
- Brainstorm with representatives from different locations, departments, functions and hierarchy levels
- Create positioning specific to different groups
- Use of the positioning in the announcement of the app and then again during the rollout itself (e.g. for flyers, posters, presentations etc.).
For the formulation of your Positioning you can use the Positioning and Goals Template.
