Summary:
1. In order to understand how you can add value to your frontline employees with Beekeeper, it is important that you involve them
2. Conduct a solution brainstorming session with representatives from different areas, departments, functions and hierarchical levels
3. The "Solutions Brainstorm" tab of the "Templates" document helps you capture and structure the ideas
4. This is the basis for prioritizing solutions, for the content plan and calendar, for setting up processes and defining the platform structure.
Solutions: Brainstorm
As mentioned in the Change Management article, it is very important to develop a vision, strategy and concept regarding solutions and use cases. Since Beekeeper is used as a Frontline Success System by every single employee, it is crucial that you initiate solution brainstorms, where you involve representatives from different locations, departments, functions and hierarchy levels. Only when you know how they work, how they communicate, what their processes are, and what challenges they are facing, will you be able to add value to them with the Beekeeper platform.
In a brainstorm session, we recommend you to first tell them why you are implementing Beekeeper, then show them the platform and all the functionalities which are relevant to them (the more interactive the better), and then brainstorm with them about how they could use Beekeeper.
Then, write down all their ideas in the sheet “Solutions Brainstorming” of the document Templates. The goal will be to capture a list of initial ideas, but this list can continue to grow as you implement and talk with different people in your organization.
To be sure that you have enough ideas for your prioritized use cases, filter by “Use Case” and check how many solutions you have for your most important use cases. Remember, it is most important to have solutions for your focus use cases so we can measure success during the rollout.
The template should help you to approach the topic about solutions in a structured way. For every idea, choose which use case your solution can be categorized under and which features will be used. Keep in mind that most solutions can leverage multiple Beekeeper features! Also write down who the sender, the receiver, and who will be responsible for delivering the content or process. Fill out the drop down fields for “Frequency”, “Impact/Value”, “Feasibility”, “Urgency” and “Type” as well.
Once you have a full list of ideas and solutions, you will be able to:
- Prioritize your solutions (check out Prioritization )
- Create a content plan and content calendar (check out Content Planning )
- Go more in depth of the processes with the appropriate responsibles (check out Process Planning )
- Define a platform structure (check out Structure )
