Change Management
During the planning and implementation phases—before defining your goals and positioning—it’s crucial to understand and embrace the importance of change management. Implementing Beekeeper in your organization is a project that brings change. Many, if not all, employees will need to adjust certain habits in their daily work routines. For this project to be successful and sustainable, it’s essential to actively manage this “change.”
Check out the Change Management article in Chapter 6, which introduces John Kotter’s 8-step model, and take a look at Pilatus’ case study, showcasing how one of our customers successfully managed this transition.
Positioning and Goals
It is important to set goals for your Beekeeper implementation and to consider how you want to position the app with your employees. Typically, the positioning and goals for Beekeeper are centered around the following topics:
- Productivity & Efficiency
- Digitization of Processes
- Reach, Inform & Communicate
- Collaboration, Synergies & Knowledge
- Identification & Brand Awareness
- Culture, Values & Team Spirit
- Acknowledgement & Appreciation
- Involvement, Participation & Engagement
You’ll need to define your Positioning prior to the announcement of the app so that communication can be clear during your rollout. Setting Goals / KPI’s will help you measure the success of Beekeeper in your organization from both a short and long-term perspective. The Use Cases that you decide to implement should also have goals around them so you can best prioritize, plan and efficiently implement what is most relevant and impactful for your employees.
To help you define your positioning and goals, you can use the Positioning and Goals Template and the Use Case Goals Template. Read more in the following articles.
